Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal has insisted. He is ready to play in any position required by new manager Xabi Alonso.
The Spanish right-back only return to training with Los Blancos earlier this month. After recovering from an ACL injury he suffered in October.
Carvajal has been impressed by Alonso’s tactics. And, speaking ahead of Tuesday’s Club World Cup last-16 clash with Juventus, he said:

Carvajal is impressed by new coach Alonso’s tactics and speaking ahead of his team’s Club World Cup round-of-16 game against Juventus on Tuesday, the veteran defender said: “The coach is bringing real versatility to the team with [Aurélien] Tchouaméni’s position. And I’ll play anywhere, even in between the posts. I’ve played at centre-back, left-back, on the wing … I’m always ready for anything the coach asks of me. I’m available to help out in any way I can.”
Carvajal, 33, faces heightened competition for places at Madrid ahead of the tournament in the United States. With the signings of Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool and Dean Houten from Bournemouth.
